A Very Special Mother's Day Gift....

Justin Timberlake is officially a comedy god. I don't know how he's managed to turn himself from a figure I loathed intensely when he was in N'Sync to one of my favorite celebrities alive but the man simply stays winning. "Motherlover", the latest early 90s cheeseball R&B pastiche from Saturday Night Live's Lonely Island and Timberlake easily lives up to the classic "Dick In The Box." I was dying last night as I watched this one live. Personally, I loved "Incredibad" and it might sneak on top my top hip hop albums of this year and this is just as funny as anything on that album.

And I'm not afraid to admit it but Susan Sarandon has still got it. I'm a little bit creeped out with myself honestly...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

BWAAAAAAA HA HA HA HA!! It's not as good as 'Dick in a Box,' because I was expecting something completely outlandish this time, but still hilarious.

In other news, Cam's new album sucks. It's almost Prodigy-esque the way he's totally forgotten how to rap well. Except with him it's more subtle, so ten times more frustrating. Whereas Prodigy sounds more like one day he became possessed by the ghost of Malachi the Nutcracker.

I actually one hundred percent agree with you on this, Tray. I couldn't even get through the album. Its simultaneously as grating and twice as boring as Purple Haze. A lethal combination. I can't believe I'm saying this but I wished the rest of the Dipset clowns showed up on so I stopped having to hear Cam.

It would've been funny if this was the one Cam album you loved. Particularly disappointing was the song that was really a freestyle over a cheap version of the beat on Jeezy's 'Get Ya Mind Right,' and the ensuing realization that Cam is no longer as good or fun a rapper as Jeezy... damn. Yeah, this is ten times worse than Killa Season.

If I might brighten everyone's day with a little quality from the indy side of thangs:

• Delta, 'The Second Story' - Nice Aussie rapper with solid production. "All Over" is the best beat of '09 so far, IMO
• Prisma (self-titled) - Laidback, real jazzy, has tracks with El da Sensei, Aloe Blacc and Fat Jon
• Sadat X, 'Brand New Bein' - ...in which he perfects the art of Making an Album With About Four Good Songs
• Qwel & Jackson Jones, 'Jump the Gun' - Qwel can get a little depressing and heavy-handed sometimes, but on the whole, I'm a big fan, particularly his work with the Typical Cats. This is another solid entry

On a sad note, Busta's new joint has me convinced that the only way that I'm going to listen to him anymore is if he puts out an album entirely in patois, like the "Kill Dem" joint on here. And it might just be the version I have, but 'Arab Money' is the original, 'A-rab' version.... nice.
